Made with 100% convergence cotton, the Maeko strap top is a snug fitting, ethical solution to the classic comfy vest. We used a racerback cut and three acid/earth colour options added to our ethical fabric, the maeko is a versatile garment for women.
This garment gives an alternative to the buy-to-wear-once culture of the high-street; a lasting, timeless style, subtle branding to allos for accessories and natural fabrics that will never get tired.
Convergence Cotton
Our Maeko vests are made with Convergence cotton.
This fabric is grown and manufactured ethically. Our fairwear foundation factory ensures better working conditions for hundreds of factory workers. Convergence cotton is grown using organic agriculture methods using land re-claimed from commercial farms; within three years, our convergence cotton plots will have no trace of their previous owner's chemical deposits.
Ethical
As well as using sustainable fabrics, Rapanui endeavours to use ethical and Renewable energy powered manufacturing. We've boycotted china for garment manufacture, use closed-loop dying on selected garments and renewable energy power is used during Manufacture and Warehousing.
5% of pre-tax profit is donated to environmental charities.
