Our commitment to nature takes many forms. The obvious one; striving to make the best eco friendly clothing on the planet.

The less obvious one is also a passionate challenge that some of our staff have been quitely plugging away at for some years; big wave surfing. It simply involves chasing storms and paddling out in search of big waves, gradually improving "foot-by-foot."

Last winter Mart got the chance to surf with one of the worlds best big wave surfers, Finisterre's Carlos Burle; and since those inspirational sessions, the charge has been on to push the limits of this discipline.

Coming from the Isle of Wight, (home of the weakest waves in the galaxy) opportunities to practice are scarce, but now living in Cornwall, waves like this one occasionally pop up to challenge a surfer.

This picture is one of only three waves caught at a little-known spot near Lands End; this double up being the wave of the day, photographed from the cliff.

A moment of glory shortly followed by an absolute pasting on the inside.
