Rapanui was at first born from the frustration of not being able to find clothing that fitted properly; finding a garment that was both cool and ergonomic was a lottery. So, all Rapanui products are firstly ergonomic and comfortable, and secondly; stylish.

The foundation of the comfort comes not from the cut though; switching to natural and organic fibres gave us an unprecedented level of comfort and softness against the skin. Only' Green' fabrics (organic cotton, naturally sustainable bamboo and convergence fabrics) are used in our 2008 collection.

Our organic products are also double-certifed uder the soil association standard and the global organic textile standard. Convergence cotton is our latest fabric; grown using organic agriculture methods using land re-claimed from commercial farms; within three years, our convergence cotton plots will have no trace of their previous owner's chemical deposits.

Organic: Grown in a managed environment, aiming to have no detrimental effect on the local ecosystem. Free from agrochemicals, fertilisers, pesticides, GM crop, formaldehyde and other harmful chemicals.

It is a fact that 17 teaspoons of chemicals end up in the soil for each high-street cotton tee.
